Sharpe Farms has an upcoming opening at the Distribution Centre at the Guelph location reporting to the Retail Purchasing Manager and Brian Benham

Primary Duties


  • Ensure that orders are picked and prioritized based on shipping deadlines.
  • Receive product from suppliers, put into stock, ensuring proper rotation.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory, rotating inventory counts, tracking expiries and reporting.
  • Maintain housekeeping and ensure all products that are shipped out are ready for customer use.


  • Become proficient in the Prosoft platform.
  • Generate orders to ship out to Sharpe Retail Stores where necessary.
  • Invoice orders that have been shipped and keep a record of any back-ordered product.
  • Communicate with Sharpe Retail Stores on any shipment discrepancies, and correct invoicing to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Communicate with the Customer Service team about any shipping errors.
  • Work with the Customer Service team and the Retail Purchasing Manager to circumvent products from our nearby Retail Locations, when necessary, to fulfill customer orders.

Skills & Requirements

  • 1-year inventory control experience (preferred)
  • Experience in the equine and/or livestock industry is considered an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure situations.
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills are required.
  • Must be hardworking, a self-starter and a problem solver.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, working additional hours when necessary.
  • Able to work in a physically demanding job and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
