Alfalfa Meal is a great natural fertilizer for perennials and shrubs to help them bloom faster and longer during the season

• For a light dosage, 12 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 square feet is recommended.
• Medium is 25 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
• Heavy application is 50 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
• A high-quality alfalfa meal is generally weed-free. It adds nitrogen and trace minerals to your soil. It also contains a natural fatty-acid growth stimulant called triancontatol.
• You can use it in place of other fertilizers or in conjunction with other soil amendments. It’s often used to improve the tilth of the soil as well, so it has a dual purpose.
