Directions for Use: 5 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight, fed as a single dose, or divided and fed over a period of up to six days, administered as per the feeding directions below. For oral use in cattle.

Mixing and Feeding Directions: The required amount of SAFE-GUARD PREMIX 20% needed to deworm cattle is determined using the following formula: Required amount of SAFE-GUARD PREMIX 20% (kg) = Total animal weight (kg) x 5 mg/kg.

● The total dose is to be incorporated in the feed and fed over a one to six day period to beef cattle, dairy heifers and dry dairy cows, and administered to lactating dairy cattle as a single dose or divided and fed over a treatment period of 4 to 6 days.

● No prior withdrawal of feed or water is necessary.

● When the above mixing and feeding directions are followed, each animal will receive 5 mg of fenbendazole per kilogram of body weight. 5 kg of premix will deworm 200 000 kg (440 920 lb) of cattle.

Do not use in feeds containing pellet-binding agents.

Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use.

Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasites.

Underdosing and / or sub-therapeutic concentrations of anthelmintic products may encourage the development of parasite resistance.

It is recommended that parasite resistance be monitored following the use of any anthelmintic. There are several measures that can be implemented to help mitigate the risk of resistance, including:

- Anthelmintics should be used in the framework of an integrated parasite control program.

- Avoid indiscriminate use of anthelmintics.

- Carefully follow the instructions given in the section DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION. Weigh or estimate the weight of animals as accurately as possible in order to avoid underdosing.
